Terms & Conditions

REGISTRATION & REFUNDS: Submission of an online registration for the Wisconsin Respiratory Education Symposium (WiRES) is regarded as a firm booking and acceptance of these terms and conditions. I understand that my registration is non-refundable.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RISKS: I am voluntarily participating in the WiRES. I understand that there are risks associated with my participation in the WiRES, such as physical and/or psychological injury, pain, suffering, illness, disfigurement, temporary or permanent disability, death or economic loss. These injuries or outcomes may arise from my own or other’s actions, inactions, or negligence, or the condition of the WiRES location (s) or facility (ies). Nonetheless, I assume all risks of my participation in the WiRES, whether known or unknown to me, including travel to and from the WiRES (including air travel) or any events incidental to the WiRES.

COVID-19 ACKNOWLEDGMENT: While participating in the WiRES I agree to adhere to social distancing guidelines and wear a face covering to reduce the risks of exposure to COVID-19. Because COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is spread mainly from person-to-person contact, the WiRES cannot guarantee that its participants, volunteers, partners, or others in attendance will not become infected with COVID-19. I agree to complete an emailed COVID-19 questionnaire prior to my attendance at any WiRES activity. I understand that failing to do so will prohibit me from attendance at any WiRES activity.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY: In consideration for participating in the WiRES, I release from liability and waive my right to sue the WiRES, the Minnesota Society for Respiratory Care (MSRC), the Wisconsin Society for Respiratory Care (WSRC), their employees, officers, volunteers and agents (collectively “Organization”) from any and all claims, including claims of the Organization’s negligence, resulting in any physical injury, illness (including death) or economic loss I may suffer or which may result from my participation in the WiRES, travel to and from the WiRES (including air travel), or any events incidental to the WiRES.

HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT: I agree to hold the Organization harmless from any and all claims, loss or damage to my personal property, liabilities and costs, including attorney’s fees, as a result of my participation in the WiRES, including travel to and from the WiRES (including air travel) or any events incidental to the WiRES. If the Organization incurs any of these types of expenses, I agree to reimburse the Organization.

CHANGES: The WiRES reserves the right to make alterations to the conference program, venue, and/or timings at any time. In the event of it being found necessary, for whatever reason, that the conference is being postponed or the dates being changed, the Organization shall not be liable for any expenditure, damage or loss incurred.

PHOTOS & VIDEOS: I understand that images and/or recordings of me may occur before, during, or immediately following any WiRES event. These photographic images and/or audio/video recordings may be edited, copied, exhibited, published, distributed, and/or displayed via printed materials, public educational setting or online without payment or permission.
